狄仁杰官居大理寺丞期间，发现一宗奇案，便赶去调查。
原来当地一退休官员蒋别驾遭抢劫谋害，死前在地上写下降魔咒，称会有魔鬼降临，杀死真凶替他报仇。狄仁杰从其妻子口中得知，半月前孙驼背神神秘秘来到店里找老板，老板更是秘密接见，花了二两千银子从他手中买下了一批宝贝。之后蒋别驾对外宣称宝贝乃是祖传，对外寻找买家。而这批宝贝也被杀人犯抢走了。
狄仁杰忙赶去调查孙驼背，却发现孙驼背惨死家中，家里也有被偷盗的痕迹。随后又对孙驼背展开调查，发现此人因为赌博弄的家道中落孑然一人。半月前他称自己发了财，还了赌债，可惜很快又把银子输光。但在蒋别驾死后没几天....

They have what it takes to be on the receiving end of the scrutinising gaze of Star, who sees through conventions and never ceases to be amazed at life’s bewildering events. Veering on slapstick, Walker’s performance will not go unnoticed.
